ben and i went to the inauguration. we couchsurfed our way there. great experience all together. i got to see pete seeger play. i never thought that would happen. also, i got to see obama get into office and be apart of a crowd. i don't think i ever wanted to be apart of a crowd more. the entire trip was awesome. look at ben's facebook photos- those will explain more than i care to right now.
erin just left. i love having her around. wish she didn't need to leave, but alas, she has her life in boston. i just read clay's blog. i miss him more than i can say. i'm trying to figure out when i can go to alabama. no later than june- frankly, im not dealing with that heat again. i'm thinking may, after all the graduations are done. i feel like i left a lot behind down there. more than myself, and more than my friends. its hard to explain. the south has a way of entangling your heart.
i miss my students a lot. i miss having them apart of my daily life, and being apart of theirs. i learned so much from them. i just hope that i was a positive force in their life. lord knows these kids need a little sunshine in their lives.
