pat, pete and i jammed last night. not a good idea to bang on random pbr cans- they move around. there was discussion of using my dreadies to string together cans to curb this problem and to be apart of the drum kit. i support this idea.

i'm going to the inauguration. leaving at some point saturday to make it to the free concert sunday. i'm going to wear a sign, "donkey (kicks) for change". i'll shake it for bama. herbie hancock and stevie wonder are playing. so.freakin.excited. oh yeah, and by the end of my road trip i'll be able to call mr. obama mr. president.

watch 'festival express'. you won't be sorry. for those of you that don't know, in 1970 acts like the band, the greatful dead, janis, the flying burrito brothers, sha na na, and such boarded a train called the festival express and went from eastern canada to western stopping for 5 shows. the history behind those shows was interesting. cats freaked over paying $16 and started rioting demanding free shows. the shows, though, were amazing. janis sings the fuck out of 'cry' and the band sings the fuck out of everything. the best part though was the footage from the train. a constant party and a constant jam session. my can banging and shaker shaking was inspired by levon helm. what a man.
